Soapstone Sculptures

Most of the sculptures you will see in the gallery are carved from Brazilian soapstone.

Brazilian soapstone is renowned for its wonderful coloration, ranging from rich coffee browns to cool greens, often with veins of red, black or gold colored mineral deposits and is a favorite medium for many carvers.

Being self-taught, my pieces do not follow any prescribed style and reflect my interpretation of the particular subject matter, this makes my pieces uniquely different.
